A BAKCYL dizziness in Podlasie schools
In February and March, as part of my voluntary work for Bank Polskiej Spółdzielczości S.A., I had the pleasure of carrying out educational activities as part of the project BAKCYL - a nationwide initiative to promote financial literacy among children and young people.
During two intensive days, I visited four schools in the Podlaskie Voivodeship at the invitation of the Cooperative Development Bank (SBR Bank). As many as 320 pupils in grades VI-VIIIwho actively participated in lessons entitled "From saving to investing".
During the activities, the students learned, among other things:
This is knowledge that every young person should acquire before making their first financial decisions.
During the class, Norbert Włostowski from SBR Bank presented the students with the new youth account offer "Young investor", created with the youngest in mind. It includes, among other things, a welcome bonus and attractive deposit rates for parents - a concrete incentive to start managing money consciously from an early age.
We were surprised by the great activity of the children, their willingness to participate in the discussion and share their thoughts. Such meetings give hope that the younger generation will be better prepared to make responsible financial decisions.
I believe that educational projects such as BAKCYL or TalentSKO realistically support the development of young people's financial competence and will have an impact on the results of nationwide surveys of Poles' economic knowledge.
